True Hygge! Especially the fireplace.

the hotel was really close to the harbour in about 20 minutes, and a beautiful area overlooking the water thanks to its marvellous and beautiful location. we stayed in a king room with a balcony. all the staff members were friendly.

The staff we met were quite rude.

The outstandingly accommodating and amicable staff all round. Well-designed rooms with a balcony, food FINE. Central heating, a work desk, and a seating area available.

A charming stay with a cozy atmosphere, the room offered a beautiful sea view and a spacious layout. The standout feature was the dining experience. Using local and seasonal products, the halibut and rhubarb dessert were really good. Even though the spa facilities were limited , they provided a relaxing environment perfect for unwinding. Accessibility to some areas could be improved, and additional amenities would enhance the experience further.

The hotel is really nicely taken care of. Wonderful SPA area. Close to the ocean. Helpful and sweet staff.

If you're looking for the perfect beach this is not the place.

great views , but needs better bathroom facilities

The room offered fine sea views that enhanced our stay. The location was fantastic, perfect for leisurely coastal walks. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing.

The bathroom facilities could use upgrades for comfort.

We enjoyed the fact that we chose gilleleje badehotel. There was a free Wi Fi. If we return to Gilleleje we would love to go back. It is near the airport: )

The location of the hotel along the ocean was nice although access to the beach was difficult.

The room was ridiculously small. Also, the hotel's website gives a very misleading impression of the facilities. The website suggests a level of luxury and comfort that is untrue. The staff was minimally helpful. Wireless internet was not available in our room as promised (other guests seemed to have the same problem) and the staff did not seem to care.

A decent escape but not without issues

Most of the staff were super friendly and really helpful, always there when you needed something. The room was nice with a great ocean view.

It wasn't inexpensive but I guess it was acceptable for what you get.

Excellent location. Free parking. Nice interior in the breakfast/dining area.

The room was very anonymous. No tv or radio device. There was nothing to enhance the stay - to give the stay an extra touch, to make it worth the money. The breakfast, we guess, was typical Danish and we only eat vegetarian food, so we lacked things to choose from. We asked the waitress if she could get us some veggies for the sandwiches at least, but she couldn't... After a chat with the receptionist we got some tomatoes, salad and raw asparagus - when we almost had finished our meal. Good effort, but not quite right... The extra fee if you wanted to pay with foreign credit card was approx. 3.5 %. :-(

I really liked the staff. They had to speak English to me and they were always accommodating. And they were always friendly in all situations.

We were told we could use the spa area but after my massage the sauna and steam room weren't prepared and there was no guidance or instruction on how to use them. I felt like I was the only one over there and so I didn't know if it was closing or not so I didn't feel comfortable staying around.

The atmosphere felt casual yet inviting. Don't miss the gorgeous coastal promenade just steps away for a serene stroll!

I liked very much the extremely helpful staff. They seemed genuinely pleased to help with translating the menu into english, providing extra pillows, helping with internet access, serving us drinks. The service in the restaurant was at a relaxed pace which we liked.

Sleep

A strange room (probably residue from the conversion). No sea view, no television, no minibar. Spa activities were limited to the sauna if you have not booked in advance ...
